Should corporations be entitled to the same legal rights as individuals? Whereshould the line be drawn?
The corporations emerged in the mid 1800`s as a legal person, then this companies started growing, but this legal persons are different legal persons, they are just worried on maximization of the shareholders wealth and most of them do not care about anything else diffent from the short term benefits from shareholders, they dont care about the impact they are doing to society.
Companies might do anything to get their objectives, to maximizate their wealth, they can even cause illness, death, poverty, pollution and exploitation. The companies have to be responsable for their acts, and the managers should be responsable as well for all the damage done to society just to maximize their wealth, such as the people are free but their freedom can not be against the other`s freedom, it should be the same with the companies, they can not work againt society just for money.
