the last entry...

In the semester I learned a lot on this subject, I rally liked the topics we threaded in the class, there were very interesting and with great importance for us as international negotiators.
For example in my research paper I am working with Valentina Jaramillo about the wayuu culture and its issues and for me has been a very interesting topic to learn about such as the other topics we have seen in the class.
One think I liked the most was that in the class we learned a lot of other cultures and its issues, the one I liked the most was when a group did the presentation of Australia and I was very interested in the lost generations.
I leave this class with a lot of knowledge that I just learned about the different cultures that I know would help me a lot being and international negotiator.

the blog I liked the most part 2

Now i was looking for some other blogs i havent seen Before, I was taking a look to Valentina Jaramillo blog, and I liked it a lot, because of her opinions, I found some of the thinks she said very interesting, and the information she had was very complete, for example in her entry of the Arab banking system she had a lot of interesting information and very organized.

The New American Nazism

This law consists on the obligation of each public worker to denounce every undocumented immigrant even he is asking for a public service such as health.

This would help the Arizona state with the illegal migrants and the problems this brings, but at what cost, by doing this the quality life of those immigrants would highly decrees and this is were I think the law its more bad than good, according to this law if any illegal migrant would go to a hospital the doctor has to call the authorities and denounce that the person he is attending doesn’t have American nationality, now imagine if the son of an illegal migrant would be sick, the entire family is illegal, so they cannot go to the hospital, with this law the Arizona government is solving the economical problem the have, but since when the well being of the humans is less value than the economy of some?

Its kind of a new American Nazism, were if you are not a citizen you are not allowed to have some basic human needs, such as health.

Stolen Generations: its not just to say... we are sorry

Sometimes it’s easy to criticize the other beliefs but we do not always see ours with outsider eyes, every culture has weird and different beliefs that if you are not part of the culture those beliefs would probably seam crazy to you.

That’s the think the cultures have to understand in order to live in peace with out warming each other. The stolen generations was, for me, a crazy and baseless idea they had in that time, that gave the aboriginal kids of Australia hard and sad moments, and for other even more opportunity, but the fact is not that with out this they could never have lived in a city or study in a school or university, for my the worst takeout of this situation is that the aboriginal culture is being lost or already lost, every different culture comes from years of traditions, and this cultures must be kept as a treasure for the mankind.

I think the Australian government by giving the country a day to remember and fell sorry about it, is not going to change anything, the kids that has already been raped or received bad treatment for this in some way, would never regain what they took from him, I think its not only felling sorry or having a national day for it, they should start protecting the aborigines and learn from this terrible experience and give them the protection and respect they deserve as human beings.

Trade Unions

A trade union, also called labor union, is an organization of workers with a common goal, as better working conditions. The union leaders negotiate with the employers; their negotiations usually are around topics as work rules, salaries, workplace safety, between others.

Trade Unions were born in England and during the Industrial Revolution trade unions were adopted by other European countries. In 1973 it was created The European Trade Union Confederation. Its main goal was to promote the interests of the workers in Europe and to represent them in the E.U institutions.

With the time this trade unions have gain more power, because now days they have the support of political power and also a large economic power, and thanks to this they can help the workers so their rights would be respected as accorded.

The role of the trade unions in Colombia:
I think that in Colombia this unions do not work as good as they work in the E.U. because those unions don’t have much attention sometimes and their work is not as effective, and by other hand in Colombia sometimes those who represent the workers in those unions are not very honest and even sometimes have connections with guerrilla groups, and at the end they have more interests first than the well being of the workers, such as money.

The Banking System Of the Arab World

The Arab contries that are 25, in the last years have experimented a great growth in their economies, this is because the oil high prices.

The Arab banking is the largest worldwide Arab branch network, with presence in 30 countries and has presence also in the main financial markets in the world such as New York and London.

The banking system of the Islamic culture works according to the Shariah (Islamic rulings), Shari'ah prohibits the payment or acceptance of interest charges (riba, “usury”) for the lending and accepting of money.

In the Arab banking system there are some restrictions, some transactions that must be excluded, some of the excluded transactions are those that include involve alcohol, pork and gambling.

The western banks models are much more than the Islamic banks, but due to the good function and development of the arab banking model some western banks are implementing now days the Shari´ah.
